Alan Dzirins has been married to Bronwyn for 37 years. He is 60 years old and has four children. He is Grandpa to seven gorgeous grandchildren. Each of them he absolutely adores.

Alan has worked most of his life, always energetic. Many times he had multiple jobs supporting his family, until one day……..

Alan noticed his vision was declining and rapidly. His family noticed changes in his personality. His usual persona at home and work changed.

What was happening to Alan?

One month ago, Alan collapsed while he was out enjoying a meal with his wife.

Alan spent some time in ICU to be diagnosed with an aggressive brain tumour.

Eleven days later, Alan had part of the tumour, located in the front of his brain, removed.

Alan’s family have been informed that he will not be able to return to work. He will be required to have radiation and chemotherapy.

Alan, who loves to travel with his family, who works multiple jobs to provide for his family, who adores his children and grandchildren, now requires full-time care.

Bronwyn, his wife, has given up her job to stand by the man she loves to become his carer.
