I have spent several years photographing and documenting the churches of Alabama’s Black Belt. This project now includes over 1,400 churches, covering 10 counties so far. Each entry includes a recent photograph and precise geographic coordinates, with additional historical details such as founding dates, signage information, or cornerstone inscriptions when available.
