On 1 September 2025, a fire swept through my parents' home in Noida, India early morning at around 3:30AM. Thankfully, my mum and dad, living on the top floor, escaped unharmed as the firefighters reached rather swiftly! They worked diligently for over four hours to bring the blaze under control.

Their home and all the items within, clothing, kitchenware, furniture, personal keepsakes, mostly everything is lost. The emotional impact is heavy, but what matters most is that they were able to get out safely!!! But sadly they are displaced for an unknown amount of time!!

Why we're fundraising:

Temporary accommodation: Right now, they’re in an Airbnb, but we’re looking for a rental where they can stay until things settle.

Replacing essentials: Everyday items like furniture, bedding, kitchen supplies, are gone and need to be replaced so they can start building some normalcy again.

As their kids, we’re doing everything we can from our end, arranging temporary accommodation, helping with basics but rebuilding a home and replacing everything at once is overwhelming. This is why we’re reaching out for community support.

We’re sooooo incredibly thankful that my parents are safe! Rebuilding will take time, but with your kindness, they’ll have the support and foundation to begin again. Thank you for generosity and prayers.
