To whom it may concern, my name is Ghadi Al-Bardawil,and i find myself in a strange situation writing this and asking for help.
I'm an engineer and a mother of two kids,my eldest son,Walid,is 4 years old,my youngest son, Yamen is 8 months old,we had a peaceful life and a beautiful house, which we built under the supervision of a famous interior designer in Gaza,
my husband and I were actively pursuing our personal goals and endeavours,we were heavily involved in our works,we had jobs that brought us immense happiness, together we were building future to our kids step by step filled with hope and care.
However, everything changed in the beginning of the war, within days of the tragedy we were forced to flee our home with nothing but the clothes on our backs, my youngest son was a newborn at the time and , we we spent two months in one of the shelters in Khanyounes city in the south of Gaza
,
every night we slept in a big room on the ground along with four strange families next to us, listening to the sounds of explosions, with the shortage of food, drinking water, infant milk and diapers, then on the 22th of November we received advastating news ,our house that's completely destroyed
,in 29th of November we received that the family business, our factory, our main warehouse in Gaza was bombed and completely destroyed too.
After spending two months of the first shelter, suddenly it was surrounded by tanks and we were forced to flee again in a tent in the city of Rafah,
My child, who was not more than 4 months old at the time, could not tolerate living in the tent. It was extremely hot in the morning and extremely cold at night. He suffered from constant fatigue and skin rashes،so we had to displaced a third time, where we rented a small room to our family that was full of rats that grawed our toes every night, the last few months have been full of fear, evacuation and death, not to mention the destruction of our house and business, the loss of hope and the complete demolition of any happy memory we ever had.
Asking for help is not easy at all, and i understand that these are challenging times for everyone, but whatever amount you can contribute will bring us one step closer to provide my family with the security they deserve.
