(PT) Sou um orgulhoso pai de 4 e tanto eu, como a minha mulher sempre trabalhámos arduamente para que nada faltasse aos nossos filhos.

(EN) I am a proud father of 4 and both I and my wife have always worked hard so that nothing was missing from our children.

(PT) Infelizmente há 25 anos atrás, solteiro e sem descendentes, fui fiador de 2 empréstimos habitação de 2 amigos que considerava família, sem ter qualquer noção de que este gesto me viria a arruinar a vida, levando por arrasto a família que construí entretanto.

(EN) Unfortunately 25 years ago, single and without descendants, I was a guarantor of 2 housing loans from 2 friends that I considered family, without having any notion that this gesture would ruin my life, dragging the family I built in the meantime.

(PT) Em 2006, comprámos a nossa primeira casa e em 2007 casámos e engravidámos do nosso 4º filho. Tudo parecia correr bem e estávamos a construir um futuro juntos para a nossa família até que, nesse mesmo ano, tudo desmoronou com a notícia de que parte do meu ordenado iria ser penhorado mensalmente por incumprimento de uma das pessoas a quem havia "estendido a mão".

(EN) In 2006, we bought our first house and in 2007 we got married and got pregnant with our 4º child. Everything seemed to be going well and we were building a future together for our family until, in that same year, everything collapsed with the news that part of my salary would be pledged monthly for non-compliance with one of the people to whom I had "extended my hand".

(PT) Foram tempos difíceis, em que contámos com a ajuda dos nossos familiares mais próximos. Em meados de 2020, quando pensávamos que já tudo tinha terminado, eis que aparece outra penhora, mas desta vez da outra pessoa de quem fui igualmente fiador.

(EN) These were difficult times, when we counted on the help of our closest family members. In mid-2020, when we thought that everything was already over, beheheh, another attachment appears, but this time from the other person for whom I was also a guarantor.

(PT) É verdade...

(EN) It's true...

(PT) Desde então, tem sido uma batalha até porque nos foi vedado todo o tipo de financiamento e com o aumento das taxas de juro ficámos totalmente asfixiados financeiramente e com dificuldade em cumprir com as nossas obrigações, optando por dar prioridade ao pagamento do nosso empréstimo para garantir uma habitação digna aos nossos filhos e “comida na mesa”, o que nem sempre conseguimos.

(EN) Since then, it has been a battle not least because we were denied all kinds of financing and with the increase in interest rates we were totally asphyxiated financially and with difficulty in fulfilling our obligations, choosing to give priority to the payment of our loan to guarantee decent housing for our children and "food on the table", which we did not always get.

(PT) Embora já me tenha sido penhorado um total de 15.000,00€, no passado dia 22/03/2024 o pior aconteceu:

(EN) Although a total of €15,000 has already been pledged to me, on 22/03/2024 the worst happened:

(PT) Fomos surpreendidos com uma Notificação Judicial para a venda da nossa casa em leilão.

(EN) We were surprised by a Judicial Notification for the sale of our house at auction.

(PT) A venda da nossa casa, não beneficiará nenhuma das partes, até porque o valor da venda não será sequer suficiente para cobrir a atual divida ao banco.

(EN) The sale of our house will not benefit any of the parties, not least because the value of the sale will not even be sufficient to cover the current debt to the bank.

(PT) A minha família ficará sem TETO e parte do meu ordenado continuará a ser penhorado mensalmente, com a agravante que ainda ficaremos com uma prestação do restante do nosso empréstimo.

(EN) My family will be without a ROOF and part of my salary will continue to be pledged monthly, with the aggravating circumstance that we will still have an installment of the rest of our loan.

(PT) Estamos desesperados, à beira da miséria, com 6 bocas para alimentar e abrigar e a precisar muito da VOSSA AJUDA.

(EN) We are desperate, on the verge of misery, with 6 mouths to feed and shelter and really need YOUR HELP.

(PT) Nunca pensámos passar por uma situação destas. Somos pessoas honestas, trabalhadoras e esforçadas. O orgulho teve que ser colocado de parte, pois nada mais nos resta do que VOS pedir ...

(EN) We never thought of going through such a situation. We are honest, hardworking and hardworking people. Pride had to be put aside, because we have nothing left but to ask YOU ...
