Help Bruna and Blue Marie Overcome the Loss of Francisco and Find a New Home

Five years ago, Bruna Souza and Francisco Ziglio left Brazil and settled in Los Angeles to build a new life together. During the pandemic, they welcomed their adorable daughter Blue Marie, who is now almost 4 years old. To make life more affordable, Bruna and Francisco joined forces with Francisco's eldest daughter and her husband to share the rent expenses.

However, life took a tragic turn about a year ago when Francisco was diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer. Francisco was the primary provider for the family, while Bruna took care of Blue Marie, unable to work due to the lack of affordable childcare options. As Francisco's illness progressed, he had to stop working, and Bruna started seeking employment and childcare subsidies, facing significant financial and time management challenges.

Bruna found a job as a cleaner, but it was a constant struggle to balance work, care for Blue Marie, and support Francisco. Sadly, after a year of battling the illness, Francisco passed away on July 12, 2024. Francisco died at home with palliative care, with Bruna by his side, holding his hand until his last day. The devastating loss left Bruna and Blue Marie emotionally and financially shattered. Blue Marie constantly asks about her father, making the grieving process even more painful for Bruna.

To make matters worse, Francisco's eldest daughter, with whom they shared the apartment, recently informed Bruna that they need to move out and terminate the lease, which is under her name. This leaves Bruna without an affordable housing option. Without the necessary resources to secure a new apartment and cover daily expenses, Bruna is in a desperate situation with her 4-year-old daughter, unsure of how to quickly gather the funds needed to move to a safe place.
