A.J. Lubin Aviation Scholarship Fund

In the early hours of September 26th, 2024, my friend and a very special young man named A.J. Lubin Jr. tragically passed away at age 18 (just before his 19th birthday) due to a fatal motorcycle accident. During his 2nd year of college at Embry-Riddle, A.J had recently passed his Private Pilot Written exam with the aspiration of one day becoming a pilot and aviation mechanic. Because of his passion for flying, A.J wholeheartedly strived towards being extremely knowledgeable in the field, with a determination to learn how to fix what he would someday fly.

Over the past 2 months, I have been working closely with the Naples Experimental Aviation Association (EAA) @ The Naples Airport on behalf of the Lubin Family to establish the A.J. Lubin Aviation Scholarship. This flight training scholarship will be backed by the James C. Ray Foundation in conjunction with the local EAA. If we can raise $3,000, the James C. Ray Foundation will match the remaining $9,000 to provide a local high school student in the Naples - Marco Island Area with a $12,000 flight training scholarship to pursue their aspirations of becoming a pilot.

With your support and kindness, we can turn this scholarship from a vision and A.J's dream of someday becoming a pilot into a reality for a local student like him who dares to dream big, spreading A.J's message of positivity and truly never giving up even in the face of difficult odds.
