AIUTIAMO l'Ospedale Leopoldo Mandic di Merate

Cari amici,

Siamo in stretto contatto con il Direttore Economico-Finanziario dell’Ospedale di Merate e abbiamo deciso di destinare i fondi direttamente all’Ospedale. Questo è il modo più efficiente per aiutare l’Ospedale ed i suoi operatori in questi giorni di emergenza.

L’idea iniziale era quella di rifornire l’ospedale di materiale igienico-sanitario e urgentemente necessario, ma ci siamo imbattuti in vari scenari di forniture e logistica, sia dall’Italia che direttamente dalla Cina, non semplici che non ci hanno dato la sicurezza di poter effettuare un ordine e garantire la destinazione all’Ospedale e rischiare così di ordinare del materiale che non sarebbe mai arrivato al presidio ospedaliero. Per questo motivo tutte le donazioni sono state prelevate in forma monetaria.

Il ricavato di questo GoFundMe, tolte le spese di gestione GoFund Me, e’ stato interamente devoluto all’ASST Lecco, nello specifico al presidio Ospedaliero di Merate.

** Update April 4, 2020 **

Dear friends,

We are in close contact with the Economic-Financial Director of the Merate Hospital and we have decided to allocate the funds directly to the Hospital. This is the most efficient way to help the hospital and its operators in these emergency days.

The initial idea was to supply the hospital with sanitary and urgently needed materials, but we came across various scenarios of supplies and logistics, both from Italy and directly from China, not simple that has not given us the security to be able to place an order and guarantee the destination to the hospital and thus to risk ordering material that would never have arrived at the hospital. For this reason, all donations have been withdrawn in monetary form.

The funds from this GoFundMe fundraise, excluding the GoFund Me management costs, have been entirely donated to ASST Lecco, specifically to the Merate's Hospital.

Stiamo raccogliendo urgentemente fondi per una donazione di materiale igienico-sanitario per l’ospedale San Leopoldo Mandic di Merate (Lecco). 

Purtroppo le scorte di dispositivi di protezione individuale per gli operatori sanitari che lavorano con i pazienti ricoverati all'ospedale di Merate si stanno esaurendo con l’aumento di pazienti del territorio e che giungono anche dal Bergamasco in continuazione.

Accogliamo questo appello di aiuto orientando la nostra raccolta per l’acquisto di camici professionali per i medici ed infermieri da fornitori esteri con l’intenzione di farli avere quanto prima all’ospedale. 

Un po’ più su di noi e la nostra famiglia:

Siamo Olimpia, Giacomo, Benedetto e Saba, figli del Dott. Tomaso Gnecchi Ruscone, medico cardiologo che lavora in questo ospedale da molti anni. Nonostante sia ad un solo mese dalla sua tanto attesa pensione, ora è al pronto soccorso per aiutare tutti i pazienti che arrivano per via del Coronavirus, rischiando come tutti gli altri operatori, medici ed infermieri, la propria vita e rischiando così di essere loro stessi contagiati. 

A nome mio, dei miei fratelli e della comunità di Merate vi chiediamo quindi di sostenere tutti gli operatori sanitari, come nostro padre, che hanno dedicato tutta la loro vita ad assistere e curare altre persone e che ora necessitano più che mai di ulteriori protezioni per far fronte a questa emergenza.

We are urgently raising funds for a donation of sanitation material for the San Leopoldo Mandic hospital in Merate (Lecco).

Unfortunately, the stocks of personal protective equipment for health workers who work with patients admitted to the Merate hospital are running out with the increase in patients in the area and who also come from Bergamasco continuously.

We welcome this call for help by directing our collection for the purchase of professional gowns for doctors and nurses from foreign suppliers with the intention of getting them to the hospital as soon as possible.

A little more about us and our family:

We are Olimpia, Giacomo, Benedetto and Saba, sons and daughters of Dr. Tomaso Gnecchi Ruscone, cardiologist who has been working in this hospital for many years. Despite being only one month after his long-awaited retirement, he is now in the emergency room to help all patients who arrive via Coronavirus, risking their lives, like all other operators, doctors and nurses, and thus risking to be themselves infected.

In my name, my brothers and the community of Merate we therefore ask you to support all health workers, such as our father, who have dedicated their entire lives to assisting and treating other people and who now need more protection than ever before cope with this emergency.
