Ciao a tutti,

siamo Julia e Valerio, due fratelli di ventisei e ventinove anni. Un anno fa la nostra vita è cambiata per sempre: abbiamo perso nostra madre per un tumore al cervello che ce l’ha portata via in meno di un mese.

Nostra mamma è stata una donna forte: era arrivata in Italia dalla Polonia da giovane e, con pochissimi mezzi, ha fatto di tutto per darci un futuro migliore. Quando eravamo piccoli, riuscì con grande fatica a costruire una casa. Purtroppo, per via delle difficoltà economiche, quella casa non fu mai terminata.

Il suo sogno era di vederla finita.

Oggi, a un anno dalla sua scomparsa, io e mio fratello siamo tornati lì. Abbiamo iniziato i lavori con le nostre mani e con i pochi risparmi che abbiamo. Facciamo il possibile, giorno dopo giorno, ma ci siamo resi conto che da soli non ce la facciamo.

Per questo abbiamo deciso di aprire questa raccolta fondi: non è facile chiedere aiuto, ma sentiamo che portare a termine il sogno di nostra madre è il modo più bello per onorarla. Per noi significa non solo realizzare il sogno di nostra madre ma anche avere un posto sicuro su cui contare.

In questo modo la casa continuerà ad essere un sostegno, proprio come lo è sempre stata nostra madre.

Ogni piccolo contributo, anche il più semplice, per noi significa tantissimo. Ci aiuterà a comprare materiali e coprire le spese dei lavori.

Hello everyone,

we are Julia and Valerio, siblings aged twenty-six and twenty-nine. A year ago, our lives changed forever: we lost our mother to a brain tumor that took her away in less than a month.

Our mom was a strong woman: she came to Italy from Poland when she was young and, with very little means, did everything she could to give us a better future. When we were children, she managed—through great effort—to build a house. Unfortunately, due to financial difficulties, that house was never completed.

Her dream was to see it finished.

Today, a year after her passing, my brother and I have returned there. We started the work with our own hands and with the few savings we have. We do our best, day after day, but we’ve realized that on our own we can’t make it.

That’s why we decided to start this fundraiser: it’s not easy to ask for help, but we feel that completing our mother’s dream is the most beautiful way to honor her. For us, it means not only fulfilling her dream but also having a safe place to rely on.

In this way, the house will continue to be a source of support, just as our mother always was.

Every small contribution, even the simplest one, means so much to us. It will help us buy materials and cover the construction expenses.
