Nancy's New Air Conditioning

There are moments in life when things happen that we don’t understand. One of them is being scammed. It happens to so many. So when it happened recently to my dear friend Nancy, who’s elderly in her 80's, I felt heartbroken and compelled to do something. She was targeted by scammers who would end up taking thousands, including some of that money which was planned for her new air conditioning unit.
This is not ok.
This woman has been a mentor, friend, and grandmother to me. She is an independent widow, inspiring and a servant to God and others, who has made an incredible impact in my life. When I moved, she was the first one to invite me to her home for a meal, 12 years ago.
So that “something” to help her has led me here because she shouldn’t have to worry about this in this season. This was completely my idea as she is private and humble. This is my first time doing a GroupFundMe but I felt so strongly about this and I had to convince her how people want to help and show this tangible love.
As summer is here in Florida, so is the heat. Her house was 92 degrees the other day as her air conditioning wasn't working properly. Yes- crazy I know! We were able to get a friend to be kind enough to help with a temporary fix of some refrigerant to get it cool for now.
Her air conditioning unit is 21 years old and has a leak which desperately needs to be replaced very soon. It could break again any day now.
It’s time to give back and I want to invite all of you to join me in caring for her well through this tangible need.
I would like to raise 8,000 dollars to cover her new air conditioning unit and other life expenses she has. I would love for us to be able to buy her new air conditioning by August 31st as it is hot!
These funds were stolen by the scammers. Please join me in praying and giving generously. The Bible talks about caring for our widows and just as she has cared for me, it’s time to care for her in this need.
