Aileen's Breast Cancer Fight

Hello friends and family,

I never thought I’d have to write a post like this

Last week, we received some tough news. Aileen has been diagnosed with an aggressive type of breast cancer called 'triple negative breast cancer.’ It's been a whirlwind of emotions, and though the road ahead is daunting, we are grateful she has a fantastic team of specialists supporting us.

It is an aggressive form of cancer, and luckily, Leen got onto it quickly and the specialists have said it’s still early.

Once all her initial scans and tests are complete, a plan will be put in place for her treatment. So far, we’ve been told that the most likely plan moving forward will be chemo to shrink the lesion and then surgery to remove what’s left.

Unfortunately, we've had to put our family trip to Bali on hold. Grace is understandably upset, and Frankie was looking forward to another airplane adventure, but they understand that mummy has a sick boobie and will need to take some strong medicines to help her get better. While this is a setback, we're trying to keep our spirits up and focus on Aileen’s treatment and recovery.

During this challenging time, I'm pouring my heart into my work, which keeps me grounded in a positive mental state (as positive as can be) and helps support our family.
