AIFA's Mutual Aid for Survival and Solidarity

A is for Activism is a left-wing organisation that began as a bookclub and morphed into a political organisation that seeks to hold places of sanctuary in both our branches Birmingham, UK and North California, US. 

As an organisation we have so far been fortunate enough to provide migrant children with back-to-school packs, Christmas gifts, educational support and translation services in both our branches. We have also been able to provide quintessential products for survival for the homeless community in Birmingham with our care packages we have rolled out. Our first self-defence classes for women will be rolled out this month, but we would like to make it a regular occurrence and roll it out nationally too, as women are facing violence regularly.

Our dreams for this fund is to be able to provide our services above, but also provide free reading material to our members, support our food banks and so much more revolutionary survival programs.

As an organisation, we are committed to supporting all those who are marginalised. We want to continue building on the work we have done so far by creating community support programmes and creative outlets for disenfranchised youths. We are fortunate enough to be a growing organisation, so many people across the globe share and believe in our vision, as a result of this we are able to open more branches that will deliver these services. But none of this is possible without donations from the people. In order to do this, we need financial support.
