Hello, my name is Megan! My son, Aiden, is 7 years old. As a lot of you know, he has autism. He has worked so hard to get to where he is now. He has spent hundreds of hours in therapies since the age of 2. He is a warrior, to say the least. We are beyond proud of him.

Even though Aiden has made tremendous progress, he still struggles a lot with anxiety, especially in new settings, loud crowds, and changes in routines. We have been looking at options to help him through these hurdles and ways to cope with everyday challenges. We have decided to move forward with a service dog for Aiden to help him with anxiety, increase social interaction, improve independence, support for sensory assistance, provide deep pressure therapy and so much more!

Aiden is a huge animal lover and could tell you facts about so many animals you probably wouldn’t even know about. He can look at a dog, spider, or snake and tell you the breeds and fun facts about them. So, when we came across this organization, we knew it would be so great for him.

Service dogs are an amazing resource for kids with autism and anxiety. They can provide comfort and a sense of security for these kids in ways we don’t even realize. As you can imagine, it takes a lot of work, time, and money to train a dog from a puppy to become a service dog for someone. We are asking for donations to help make this happen for our boy. We will use the money to buy the dog, go through each course of training needed to be a certified therapy dog and vet expenses! Anything helps.
