Table Montréal-Afrique, a non-profit organization, proposes to carry out effective prevention against the Coronavirus pandemic, by sensitizing the populations and the various ethnic communities living in Montreal to the realities of the Coronavirus pandemic. Our focus will be on educating and training minority populations to promote compliance of Federal and Provincial health protocols , making it possible to fight effectively against the pandemic and improve the health of these populations.
The challenge is to offer awareness workshops and online training. These workshops will allow participants, populations and ethnic communities of the city of Montreal to acquire the necessary skills and know-how in the fight against the Coronavirus pandemic and to familiarize themselves with the barrier measures and the health protocol in force in Quebec. These training workshops will also make it possible to set up a comprehensive care program for these populations. Through these training and awareness workshops, the populations of the minority communities of the city will be well equipped to take charge of an upsurge in the pandemic.
Our specific objectives are:
- Reduce the number of infected people (prevalence) by offering a training and awareness program to the populations and ethnic communities of Montreal's minority communities
- Lower morbidity in the face of the coronavirus pandemic
- Provide stress management tools as well ass general mental illness awareness
