SCAMMERS! It saddens me that there are people out there that take advantage of the older generations. You hear about this happening, but you never think it will happen to your family.

My mom (73 years old) is a recent widow. She and my father were married for 55 years. My mom is the kindest, sweetest, and a very giving lady. However, she is very naive in today’s world. That is because my dad took care of everything when it came to finances, bills, etc.; he loved taking care of my mom.

Unfortunately, my mom got taken advantage of by phone scammers. They just happened to call the right person with the perfect vacation. My mom has always wanted to go on a cruise, and that is what they were offering at a great low price for her and her family. When everything was over, they cleaned out her account. My dad made sure my mom would be okay when he passed. I’m heartbroken that she had to go through this.

If you could donate anything to help raise money to get her account back to where it was or at least close to it and/or if you can’t donate, please at least share this so it can be seen all over. Thank you in advance.

I do want to make my mom’s thoughts known. She did not want me to do this for her. She told me, she will just chalk it up as a lesson learned. But I can’t just do nothing. I figure, I can at least try to help her. From what I have researched,  this is the best way in today’s world to do that.
