Hi everyone, and thank you for taking a moment to read this.
Our family is preparing for an urgent move from North Carolina to California so we can be near and support my parents. Our bonus dad (Papa) recently survived a severe motorcycle accident and then, separate from the accident, needed a major liver transplant that had serious complications. Both of my parents have recently retired, and with these health challenges, they now need support in their home; we want to be there for them.
At the same time, our own family has hit a difficult point. Despite working extremely hard, we were unable to sustain our business, and we no longer have the resources to relocate on our own. This follows several years of fighting alongside one of our own, who has been going through significant mental health illnesses and challenges, and it has taken an emotional and financial toll.
This move isn’t about convenience or a reset - it’s about stability, safety, and family. Temporarily moving in with parents will allow us to support them, and also give us a foundation to rebuild and become self-reliant again as a family.

What We Need Help With:
• Flights for our children to get to California
• A small U-Haul trailer for essential belongings
• Fuel and lodging for the drive
• A few urgent vehicle repairs to make the trip safely
⸻
We’re not asking for extras—only what is necessary to physically get there.
Whether you’re able to donate, share this link, or simply send encouragement, it genuinely means more than we can express.
Thank you for showing up for us during this transition. We are humbled and grateful.
With love and faith,
The Stevens Family
