Aid the Sterkel Family's Dual Medical Crisis

Hi friends & family… as many of you know, some may not, my mom has been in the hospital for 3 weeks. On January 31st she was transferred to Overland Park Kansas to be in the care of a world renowned surgeon and undergo an intensive surgery. A feeding tube is as placed, further complicating her recovery. Today, February 13, she still remains in Kansas.

This morning, February 13th, I received a call from my mom stating that my grandma called, could barely breathe, begging her to call 911. EMS arrived to find my grandma grey in color, blue lips and an oxygen of 42. My grandma has since been intubated and will be transferred to a higher level of care. At this time the transfer facility will likely be in Colorado to ensure she has all needed speciality providers.

Meaning, mom will be in Kansas and grandma will likely be in Colorado at the same time. The expense of gas, hotel, and food has already taken its toll on our family with my mom being in Kansas City for almost 2 weeks. Now, we are all having to plan for the expense for some family to be in Colorado and some family to be in Kansas.

Our family struggles to ask for help, but at this time, we need it in order to be with both my grandma and my mom. We would appreciate any amount you feel called to, or able to donate.
