My name is Shania i started a GoFundMe to help raise money for our family in need of help. Me and my husband recently just had our newborn son he was born Friday August 29, 2025 at 9:47pm, little did we know that he was in respiratory distress and he was having a little bit of trouble breathing on his own, the doctors put him on oxygen for about 6-8 hours he still had a little bit of fluid in his lungs they said there was not much more they could do so they had him transported to sacred heart struder children hospital in Pensacola. He was starting to get a little better than what he was but he was still about the same he was breathing a tad to faster than normal, they have him hooked up to an iv through his hand to help keep his blood sugar where it needs to be, they have a little tube down his throat to help feed him and last night they had to put him on a ventilator cause he was still struggling to breathe on his own. I was 36 weeks and 6 days when he decided to make his appearance, I was at work when I was in labor and was having contractions and didn’t know it until I got to the hospital ab 9 that morning and he didn’t come til that night he was 8lbs 7oz. We try not to ask for help because we know that everybody is struggling as well. When he decided to come early it put us in a little bind, we wasn’t about to put back anything to save for when his actual due date came, so that’s why I’m starting this GoFundMe to help raise money to help out between gas and our bills since we’re not able to work with our baby being in the hospital. It’s been hard on us seeing him hooked up to all those machines but we know that he is getting the absolute best care that he needs. Any amount would help out tremendously
