As many of you know, Shade recently suffered a sudden and severe medical emergency—a seizure that left him hospitalized and struggling with ongoing confusion and memory loss. Since then, his condition has worsened, and we’re still searching for answers as the medical team runs more tests to understand what’s happening.

This has completely turned our lives upside down. Shade is the heart of our home—an incredible partner, father, and provider. With him unable to work or care for himself right now, I’ve had to take on everything at once: caring for our kids, being by his side at the hospital, and trying to keep our lives from unraveling.

As hard as it is to ask for help, I’ve reached a point where I know I can’t do this alone. Between time away from work, hospital trips, and the growing list of unexpected expenses, the financial strain is becoming overwhelming. Any support you can offer, whether it’s a donation, a share, or even just a message of encouragement would mean so much to us.

We’re incredibly thankful that Shade is receiving care at Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids. We’re holding onto hope and trusting in his medical team as we wait for answers. All donations will go directly toward supporting our family during Shade’s hospitalization. This includes child care costs while I’m at the hospital, lost income from missed work, essentials like groceries and gas, and potential moving expenses as we adjust to this new reality.
