Hi everyone, I (Bly Brown), and my brother Zane are currently staying in Santa Maria, CA to be near our Mom, Sandra Hudgens, who is very sick right now. This happened very unexpectedly, and unfortunately, our mom has been in a very tough spot mentally, emotionally, and financially for quite some time. Our mom is currently intubated, heavily sedated, on dialysis and septic. As of now, she is in the ICU of Marian Regional Medical Center (Dignity Health) in Santa Maria, CA and she will be there for a minimum of 6 weeks for treatment. While her situation is critical, she has been stable so far. She was admitted to the hospital on Friday, 8/15. Zane and I flew out as soon as we could manage, with limited funds and resources, but were not expecting how this would all unfold. We don't have any family in this area, so we are staying in a hotel nearby since 8/17, so we can be as close as possible just in case -- this is a very precarious situation, but we are trying our best to just get through, day by day. I am making this GoFundMe in order to help offset some of the financial stress it has caused for Zane and I, as we are paying for transportation, lodging, food, and basic essentials out of pocket right now, as well as putting any remaining funds towards our mom's aftercare and needs. If all goes well, it is looking like after treatment, she will have some permanent medical needs for her conditions (Regular Dr. visits, Insulin, Dialysis). In addition to that, we plan to move her with Bly in Albuquerque, NM. Zane and I would greatly appreciate any help we can get right now, and I know our mom can really use any positive, healing thoughts sent her way as well.
