Aid Ricky Ward's Family and Pets Post-Hurricane

Hello, I'm Ricky Ward and I have two children, Olivia, 7 years old, and Cash, 3 years old. We bought a house in Oct 2020 in Boone, NC, that was taken away from us.

I am trying to raise money for the devastation that happened to my property on September 27th from Hurricane Helene. My two kids and I are safe, luckily. We were not in the house when the hurricane took it down, but my three dogs (Willie Nelson, Embers, and Coco) and our cat were in the house when it went down the mountain. The dogs all have cuts under their eyes on the same side, and sadly, the cat, Mittens McGettins, didn't make it.

I am seeking this amount for the next 6 months of living without a home and veterinary bills for my pups, plus expenses for my children. I have found through this whole process the hardest thing I have done is ask for help. I am so proud of my community here in Boone, NC. The amount of time neighbors are giving each other brings tears to my eyes. I have had countless strangers give their time and efforts to make sure we have clothes, are eating, and have a bed to sleep in. My words can't touch the emotion I feel for these individuals.

I know our goal for this won't come close to what we really need because we really lost everything. But anything really will help more than you'll ever know.
