You Truly Couldn’t Make This Up…
On his routine bike ride to work, Pastor Nathan Hawkins was t-boned by a full-grown buck. The impact knocked him off the road and into a concrete drainage ditch, resulting in a broken wrist and rib. Due to the severity of his injuries and the remote location, he had to be LifeFlighted to Nashville.
We’re incredibly thankful he survived, but the incident was traumatic and could have ended much worse.
Pastor Nathan is a kind, humble man known for always putting others first. As a pastor, father, and friend, he has served countless people with quiet strength, compassion, and unwavering faith. He would never ask for help — so I’m doing it on his behalf.
The bicycle he was riding was a Trek Domane AL 5 Gen 4, a bike he had purchased just weeks before the crash. He’d worked hard to afford it, completing a 92-mile ride shortly before the accident. It was destroyed in the crash.
Between the LifeFlight, hospital bills, and being temporarily unable to work, Pastor Nathan is now facing a heavy financial burden.
We’re raising funds to help with:
• Medical expenses
• Lost income
• Follow-up care and therapy
If you can give — even a little — your support will make a big difference. And if you can’t donate, sharing this campaign and keeping him in your prayers is just as meaningful.
Thank you all for your compassion and generosity.
