I created this fundraiser for my sister, her husband, and their daughter.

My family and I lived in Southern California for 11 years and while there were fires, we were lucky enough to never be directly affected until yesterday. This was my sister’s house in Altadena, and they lost EVERYTHING except the three days' worth of clothes they took when they were forced to evacuate. My niece doesn’t even have her uniform for when school reopens. My sister is a teacher, so they have to stay close by and can't leave the area, but also, they love their community in Altadena and want to stay and rebuild.

Anyone who knows them knows that their home was a place where everyone was welcomed with kindness, great food, and laughter. No amount of money will ever replace the hard work and energy they put into making their house a home, but it will give them some measure of relief and enable them to open their doors to all of their friends and family that much faster.

The money being raised will support them over the next few months while they put their lives back together.
