ANNOUNCEMENT: I’m Launching Something That’s Been Brewing for Years
After the toughest year of survival I’ve experienced, I’m finally stepping into something I’ve dreamed of for a long time. It’s a creative advocacy brand. It’s a personal rebrand. I was diagnosed Autistic in October 2024, and it’s my mission to bring visibility to and provide a voice for those who are overlooked or incapable of self-advocating. It’s a platform for neurodivergent and recovery communities to be seen, heard, and honored.
And it’s launching from the ground up—starting with a goodbye.
What I’m Launching
Before I leave Austin, I’m distributing 50 gallons of cold water to unhoused neighbors using recycled jugs.
It’s called “Dignity Restoration thru Hydration” - a visibility gesture, a dignity restoration effort, and a soft launch for what’s coming next in my YFAV mission.
This isn’t just a water drop. It’s a symbolic act. It’s the first ripple in a larger mission to build emotional infrastructure for invisible needs.
From Darkness to Design
Just over a year ago, I left rehab and entered one of the darkest stretches of my life. What followed was a year of misfortune—back-to-back punches that left me unemployed, alone, disoriented, disconnected, and unsure where my vibrancy had gone. I didn’t know if I’d ever feel creative again. I didn’t know if I’d ever feel clear again.
And while some might hear “diagnosed Autistic at 35” and think, how much turbulence could that really cause? For me, it was seismic. I’ve never stood in so much chaos at once—emotionally, financially, spiritually. My medical team has deemed it necessary for me to return home to MO and be near family, familiarity, and support. My mental health has declined over the last year and its crucial to change my environment. I need to get back on track.
Something shifted in me when I landed on the plan to move back to Missouri. Knowing I’ll be near the comfort of my mom—someone who sees me without needing explanation—has reignited something I thought I’d lost.
My creative wheels started turning. My passion returned. And for the first time in a long time, I’ve been able to maintain positive plans and roadmaps for a real new start.
This isn’t just a move. It’s the launch of the dream I’ve carried quietly for years.
The Reality Beneath the Vision
I’m still navigating housing instability. I’m still managing overdue bills, car repairs, and the emotional weight of executive dysfunction. I’m still balancing visibility with privacy, and advocacy with survival.
And I’m doing it with two weeks left to fully wrap up and relocate—with all resources exhausted.
This includes a critical, time-sensitive hurdle: I have less than 24 hours to make a $1,583.92 payment by Sunday, August 17th at 11:30 a.m. CST to prevent an eviction on my record.
This is the first, most urgent hurdle of my total $5,000 fundraising goal to make this transition and my relocation possible. This fundraiser isn't just about a bill; it's about doing my part to secure a clear path forward and make a fresh start. I've advocated for myself with grit, and after a lot of back and forth with my leasing management, I was able to properly advocate for my rights and protections under the FHA, to terminate my lease early with no early termination penalties or negative rental dings on my record. Making this deadline is the home stretch to being able to move forward with pride and dignity.
That’s why I’m inviting the community to support this transition—not just as a gesture of care, but as a vote of confidence in what my heart wants to build.
Mutual Aid as Infrastructure
I don’t see help-seeking as weakness. I see it as design. I see it as the blueprint for how we can survive together.
My brand will model mutual aid without shame. It will build trust through transparency. It will turn personal transitions into opportunities for collective care.
And this moment—this final stretch to get through August—is part of that blueprint.
To make this move possible and to successfully launch the “Dignity Restoration thru Hydration” project - a soft launch for YFAV - I am fundraising with a total goal of $5,000. This includes the $300-$400 for the dignity restoration project, as well as the remaining ~$4,500 needed to cover essential moving costs like survival, overdue bills, and car repairs. By supporting this transition, you are supporting the passion and determination of someone who wants to change the world.
What’s Next
After the Dignity Restoration thru Hydration Project, I’ll be:
- Relocating to Missouri to stabilize with family
- Finalizing the visual identity and messaging for my brand
- Soft-launching symbolic frameworks and storytelling formats in St. Louis
- Building a platform that centers neurodivergent and recovery communities with dignity and precision
- YFAV Foundation - identify and work towards steps to legitimize my company (LLC, Trademarking, Grant Proposals, etc.)
