I'm traveling to New Mexico to help my trans niece, who is homeless, get some upgrades to her living conditions. She's totally estranged from her "father" (my brother) and her mother passed away last year.

I'm trying to defray both some of my own travel costs and the cost of helping her with whatever we can do to make her living situation better.

Edit 2: Holy cow X2! We're now looking to supplement what she can do in terms of not only food but furniture, utilities (Internet is big for job searches and work-from-home opportunities), and other things that can help her be in a position to take over her own rent in the not too far future.
