Help Ms. Khaliah Recover After Car Accident & House Fire

Our beloved Drama Kids teacher, Ms. Khaliah, needs our help.

In just one week, Khaliah experienced two devastating events that have completely disrupted her life. On Monday, March 31st, she hydroplaned on the highway and totaled her car—a car she had just gotten back after working through a season of financial challenges.

Then, on Sunday, April 6th, her family home was impacted by a grease fire. While we are incredibly grateful that everyone is safe, the fire caused significant damage, and the efforts to put it out resulted in severe water damage throughout the house. Khaliah and her family are now displaced and facing unexpected financial hardship.

Khaliah is more than just a Drama Kids teacher—she is a bright light in our program. She gives her whole heart to her students and is known for going above and beyond in everything she does. Her energy, creativity, and care make her a role model not only to our kids, but to all of us.

Beyond Drama Kids, Khaliah also:

• Volunteers faithfully at her church

• Teaches free dance classes to children in her community

• Serves as a mentor and positive role model for young women

Khaliah lives with her mother and stepfather. Her stepdad is disabled due to glaucoma and unable to work, which makes this setback even more difficult for their household.

We are raising funds to help cover urgent needs, including:

• Transportation (car replacement and repairs)

• Temporary housing and relocation expenses

• Food for her and her family

• Replacement of essential belongings lost in the fire

Khaliah has spent her life pouring into others—now it’s our turn to pour into her. Every donation, big or small, will help ease the burden and show Khaliah that her Drama Kids family and community are standing with her.
