Aid Milt Miranda's Recovery and Relocation

Hi.

I am writing this on behalf of my dad, Milt Miranda. My dad was diagnosed with diabetes 17 years ago. It was managed well, but in recent years it has become harder to maintain. Unfortunately, the diabetes has taken its toll on Milt’s body, resulting in higher than normal blood pressure, congestive heart failure, and renal failure.

Sadly, treatment for these combined issues has exacerbated the renal failure to stage four (borderline end stage).

Milt has now been placed on dialysis.

Milt has also faced challenges in his career recently. In January 2025, his employer of 14 years faced hardships, resulting in them needing to lay off a portion of their workforce, Milt being included. And with this came the loss of Milt’s health insurance, which expired on 1/31/2025.

Milt will be transitioned to a rehabilitation facility any day now, but will need all help possible to transition him to a more permanent and stable living arrangement.

Therefore, we are asking for all help possible to bring this to fruition.

Any donations will help with the moving expenses, and any leftover funds will go to making sure Milt has any necessities needed to give him a comfortable place to live.

Once out of rehab, which we estimate to be in early March, Milt will be moving in with long-time friends, Tom and Andrea Sirois, in Indiana.

I ask those reading this to please help in any way possible, even if it’s just paying him a visit in rehab before we can move him out of Florida. His whole life has changed drastically in a matter of days, and he could absolutely use his family and friends to get through this.
