Recently, Mia lost her best friend and mother, Rose Blanche Pitts-Hope.

If you know Mia, then you know how much she loved her mother. You may have even tasted one of her mother’s recipes like the spaghetti Mia would make for us in college. Mrs. Pitts-Hope gave Mia the gift of bringing people together, and Mia used that gift to help create beautiful memories for all her friends. Mia knew how to turn a bad day into a long night of laughter... laughing so hard that she'd pass out, wake up, and laugh some more. That infectious love is her mother’s legacy and we're fortune to have experienced it.

Unfortunately, the news of her mother's passing came at an unexpected time, and right now Mia needs our immediate financial support.

Life doesn’t stop when death comes. Mia just started a new job, is facing an immediate housing need, needs help with travel costs to and from the funeral, and other unexpected expenses related to the untimely departure of her mother.

We are raising money to ease the financial burden during these tough times to give Mia space to heal and grieve and not worry about survival. Asking for help is extremely difficult, but Mia has often been the first one to help one of her friends in need.
