Hola querida comunidad/Hello dear community,
Today, May 7th, marks the beginning of a new cycle for me. I'm turning 41 years old (springs) on this beautiful planet Earth, and I'm celebrating almost halfway through my pregnancy.
I'm hoping to bring earthside my second daughter by the end of September 2025. I had a history of pre-term labor (my last daughter was born at 34 weeks) due to stress and very difficult family situations during COVID.
This time around, as I'm getting older and wiser, I understand that there is nothing more important than my baby's and my health. And that's the reason I have decided to start this campaign.
I'm looking to get funds that will help me and my partner to ease the load of childbirth and postpartum expenses as I will be covering a debt I have from my current divorce from a very traumatic marriage of the past.
So far, my partner has a stable job and insurance, but due to my divorce, I'm unable to use his insurance. Once my divorce is finalized this summer, I will lose the insurance I have, leaving me the last months of my pregnancy in an uncertain place regarding any insurance coverage for an emergency.
I'm planning to have my baby at home and stay as much as I can during the first months with the baby. But as a business owner, I know an extended maternity leave is a luxury I can't afford without the necessary resources of my community.
As a Mexican immigrant woman, I don't have any family members in this country, and my family in Mexico is not in a position to support me economically in any way. But I know they support me with their prayers and love, which is what I need from them.
I will be grateful for any economic support you can help me to fulfill this campaign. But also, your prayers, best wishes, and/or sharing this with your community can be very helpful at this time.
Most of all, I'm grateful at this time, and I hope that whatever you can give me, it will return to you threefold :)
Blessings your way,
Metztli
