Hello family and friends. Elmer and Tammy Wood. This is the medical journey our daughter Logan (Loggie) is on currently. We came out to Colorado for a 2-week vacation on June 13, 2025. Logan went to visit her sister in Westminster on June 14th. She had a hard time breathing and felt really dizzy the next 4 days. She went into the ER on 6-18-25 with her oxygen level at 43%. She was transported to St. Anthony's Hospital in Lakewood, CO, where she has been since the 18th of June. She went into respiratory failure 20 minutes later and had to be intubated. She was put on 2 pressure support meds for BP, which also impacted her kidney functions, and 3 different antibiotics to fight infections, which caused a skin reaction called calciphylaxis. She's had to go into surgery to remove all dead skin tissues throughout her abdomen, called debriding. On July 8th, they had to do a trach to keep her on the ventilator support. She's been on dialysis since July 1st, 4 days a week. She's going to be (when ready and stable) transported to a long-term acute facility for God knows how long.
So the reason we are setting this up is to help Logan with all her finances as she will not be able to work for at least a year. She has her car payment, insurance, phone, and mortgage each month. Dad and I can only do so much. So, any little bit will help, and she will be so appreciative that you all have supported her through this very critical situation she's been in for the last 6 weeks and ongoing. Thank you all for being our rock and hers.
