Aid Lance Ramsey in Overcoming Hardship

Good evening, hope you're well. My name is Lance Ramsey. I'm a 52-year-old diabetic. Some of my foot was amputated last week on my right foot. My left foot is getting in bad shape too due to neuropathy in both legs and my feet. I've worked hard all my life, but my balance is off and I get short-winded pretty quick. I just can't do what I used to do, and I miss working. Now I have to look at the walls most of the time because I have no way to go anywhere. The worry is taking over.

I'm currently staying at a place for battered women and men in Lexington, Virginia for maybe 2 or 3 weeks. They're trying to help me with housing because I can't go back to where I was staying. No more abuse for me, but I need help with funding. I need a little help; all my clothes and personal items were thrown away by my abusive son and mother. I stayed in a shed beside my mother's house for 2 years, constantly getting mentally abused by my mother and physically abused by my son. He likes to get drunk and beat on me. He eventually snapped on his grandma and beat her. He went to jail, she went to a nursing home in Roanoke, and I was left with nowhere to go. I had to sleep in the woods for a couple of days. I was eaten up with ticks and my foot got infected. I was admitted to the hospital, and that's where they amputated some of my foot.
