Dear family, friends and compassionate strangers,

I’m reaching out with a heavy heart as I navigate the profound loss of my father, who was taken from us far too soon due to violence. To honor his memory, I need your help to travel to the Philippines and connect with my father’s family, as the costs of this journey are beyond my means.

I emigrated to America when I was just 2 years old, leaving behind my father and having no memories of him except for only one day we spent together in 2006. He missed my wedding and has never met my two children, which adds to the weight of my loss and longing.

Being with my father’s family feels like the only way to grasp a piece of him and understand his legacy. I believe that by sharing stories and memories, I can feel his spirit and keep his memory alive. Every contribution, no matter how small, will go toward airfare, accommodation, and other expenses as I seek comfort in their embrace.

If we surpass our fundraising goal, I will donate the remaining funds to my grieving family in the Philippines, helping them during this difficult time. This trip isn’t just about a journey; it’s about healing, connection, and honoring a man I wish I had known better. Your support would mean the world to me during this challenging time.
