Aid Julian's Recovery and Support His Family

Update 6/3/25: He’s doing a little better, still running into issues of a little chest pain and hard time breathing but getting by. He’s still on dialysis and getting some kidney functions, which is surprising the doctor, but still has a long ways to go. So still no work for him.

Hi, I’m Amalia and I’m trying to raise funds for our family. It’s really hard for me to ask for help, but I am not sure what else to do.

In the beginning of April, my husband Julian was admitted to the hospital and was diagnosed with end-stage kidney disease and would be out of work until May and was started on dialysis. Although this would not be a problem, he, however, is still weak and is still unable to catch his breath, having chest pain, and having episodes of blacking out.

With that said, on May 2nd, he blacked out at the dialysis center and was rushed to the hospital. Needless to say, he was readmitted, and they found a blockage in his artery and a stent was put in. We are still waiting for them to possibly perform drainage in his lungs. I am not too sure how long he will be out of work now or when he will get discharged. We currently only have one income coming into our home and just need any help with everyday bills.

I have applied for state help but not sure if it will be approved or if it will be enough.
