Hi, my name is Jocelyn H. I'm 29 years old and I'm currently experiencing homelessness in Atlanta, Georgia, after recently relocating from Charlotte, North Carolina, in hopes of starting a new life. I came here believing things would work out, but unfortunately, they haven’t gone as planned. Without any family or support system nearby, I’ve found myself struggling just to get by in a place where I don’t know anyone or have resources. I recently just got out of the hospital. I was in a very abusive relationship; both sides of my face are broken, and I have multiple bruises and scars all over my body and broken bones I'm still trying to recover from as well, so it's also hard to get a job out here looking the way I do.
I’m asking for help to get back on my feet—whether that’s securing temporary shelter, food, transportation, or basic necessities while I work toward stability. Any support, no matter how small, would mean so much to me during this difficult time. Thank you for taking the time to read my story and for any help you can offer.
