Javi Garay, 13, whose passion is the game of baseball was struck by a batted ball while pitching in a tournament on Sunday, October 20. His injury is diagnosed as an epidural hematoma and was rushed into emergency surgery at Stanford Childrens Hospital in Palo Alto, CA. He is recovering but will be having to endure many weeks or months of therapy for this traumatic brain injury. Any family regardless of its resources has to deal with a huge financial strain to give him the utmost in medical care. His mother, Dolly, and father, Geovanni have been by his side throughout his hospital stay.
