Aid for Vinsko Family After Devastating Accident
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Matthew.
On Saturday, August 10th in Westland, Michigan at approximately 8:30pm, there was a very traumatic and devastating event involving my wife and I's best friend and her newly wedded husband, Luke Vinsko. A woman (suspect), not in the right state of mind, was out and slamming into cars on Wildwood Street and Florence Street in Westland, Michigan. The complete story can be found on Westland Community News - Facebook Page. The suspect, whose name has not yet been released, was on drugs, intoxicated, and attempting to cause great harm to an individual where Hailey and Luke are living, that used to be an ex-boyfriend to the suspect. Hailey and Luke do not have any ties to this suspect nor did they with the suspect's ex-boyfriend. They were just returning home from their very first date night, since they recently had twin boys, Cassian and Silias.
During this very traumatic event, Luke and Hailey were hit by the suspect and the vehicle she was driving (video can be found also on Fox News, that was captured by one of their neighbors), and as a result of this, both of Hailey and Luke's vehicles that were parked in their own driveway, were hit, slammed, and pushed into their garage. Luke became pinned underneath their own vehicle. He was rushed to the hospital, where they performed an emergency amputation to his leg. His other leg also suffers from damage as his toes are also broken. We please, ask that you all and everyone in your families, please pray for Hailey, Luke, and their families as this moves forward.
Hailey and my wife have been best friends for over 2 decades. Hailey and I have become a brother and sister to one another. There is not one thing that I would never not do for her, Luke, or their family. Hailey and Luke recently got married, last October, just purchased their first home, and as of 2 months ago, brought 2 beautiful twin boys into this world, that just bring so much joy to us all. We are completely heartbroken, devastated, and honestly, just at a loss of words, for how this could even be happening to them.
Other than doing anything that's small, as in having my wife stay the night over there to watch the twin boys, raising this fundraiser is really big and is what could really matter the most to be able to do for them at this time. Any and everything at this time helps. (They are also now without both of their cars as they are totaled and collected as evidence per Westland Police Department).
We appreciate all contributions so very much, and wish them all the love, hope, faith that we can give them. If anyone has any questions please feel free to reach out to me via Facebook messenger.
Thank you all so much and please keep the Vinsko family in your hearts and in your prayers. This will be a long, hard, and difficult journey for our very beloved friends, but we will be there for them every single step of the way.
God Bless you all.
Best Regards,
