Join our Food Drive for the Bayview for the 2021-2022 Holiday Season!  We are raising funds to bring crucial aid to the Bayview community of San Francisco.  Since the crisis began, we have fed dozens of families, having provided groceries, cash, and other critical aid, supplies and information.

The COVID-19 crisis has wreaked havoc across the country and the world, especially in vulnerable, underserved communities.  We must not leave anyone behind as we work together to ensure that everyone has the information and means to survive this pandemic.  And yet, across the country we are seeing marginalized communities - particularly Black communities - left out in many ways.  The dissemination of supplies, the ability to remain at home, critical survival aid - even life-saving information - is not reaching underserved communities.  Worse still, Black people have gotten seriously ill with COVID-19 at disproportionately higher rates.

As we work together as a human family to survive this crisis, it is essential that we support each other.  Wealth and Disparities in the Black Community members have come together to disseminate crucial aid, food, and life-saving information about social distancing and personal protective equipment (PPE) - such as masks.  We are raising money to provide food for the Bayview San Francisco - especially for seniors and the area's most vulnerable residents.  Please join us in our efforts by donating to provide life-saving food, supplies, outreach and information to our Bayview neighbors.

Wealth and Disparities in the Black Community's all volunteer team have been working in the Bayview since 2015.  We've already begun crisis relief activity in the neighborhood -

 

--Volunteers interacting at safe distance with neighbors, sharing crucial information

--Finding out what people's needs are

 

Please help us continue to raise money to provide aid, including

 

--Grocery gift cards & Cash aid

--Essential food/grocery supplies for Bayview residents

        We have begun building shopping lists of essentials - household and food staples and vital items

--Distribution of food and essentials
