My name is Michael Mastropietro, Business Manager for IBEW Local 236. On behalf of everyone here with the local, I am asking for your assistance for a fellow brother going through some incredibly hard times.

Brother Sean Brown recently lost his 25-year-old daughter Lily in a most tragic and unexpected incident. She leaves behind three young children, Asia Leilani, Armani Ra'Kari, and A'Leia Rain Brown, ages 5, 2, and 4 months, which Sean will now be raising. This, of course, comes with an incredible, immediate, and completely unexpected financial burden that he will now bear. On top of that, his wife Lynn has had an ongoing battle with leukemia that takes both a physical and emotional toll on both her and the family. Everyone knows by now that medical care is extremely expensive, and this is no exception.

No one should have to bury their children. Not only does Sean need to do that, but he will be reminded every day of the new hole in his soul just looking at his grandchildren and not having Lily to go along with them. Should things take a turn for the worst for Lynn, he would also lose her and become a single grandparent raising three young kids. But he does it all and pours his heart and soul into every day.

Sean and his family need all the help they can get right now. Current expenses include funeral costs for Lily, relocation of her three children and their belongings, ongoing medical expenses for Lynn...the list goes on. This does not even include lost pay for time missed at work for Sean to try and get not only the children's lives, but his own life back on the rails. Please find it in your heart to help a fellow brother, a fellow human being - who doesn’t deserve to be kicked when he is down, but has been anyway - and join us in trying to help Sean through this trying time.
