Aid for Parkes Family & Son on Autism Spectrum
Donation protected
A child getting injured in an accident is a terrifying experience for any parent. For parents of children on the autism spectrum, especially children who may not be able to describe what happened or their extent of their pain, injuries can feel like an insurmountable burden.
My name is Julia and I am a teacher at a school for students on the autism spectrum. Unfortunately, this week, one of my students had an accident on his swing at home and broke not one, but both of his legs. This sweet boy requires high levels of support from his family and school staff on a day to day basis, so very little about his recovery process will be straight forward or easy. He is normally very active and having to remain immobile so his bones can heal will be incredibly difficult for him and for his family.
I am raising money to help support his amazingly strong family with any medical equipment or expenses, food delivery services, and lost wages from work due to needing to be home with their son 24-7 during his recovery. Please consider donating if you can!
