Aid for My Traumatized Girls After Family Betrayal

Hello, my name is Gladys.

I am the mother of three precious girls, 7, 5, and 4. My youngest has autism and is nonverbal.

On February 1st, my babies exposed something so vile and disgusting that as parents, we are traumatized. MY CHILDREN WERE MOLESTED BY THEIR OWN GRANDFATHER.

A little back story:

In July of 2024, my husband had to have back-to-back surgeries on an open wound due to an infection. Since he's diabetic, it took over 12 weeks to fully heal.

Things started going downhill from there. My husband lost our main source of income. We lost our home and started living with my in-laws to try to get back on our feet.

We got into a heated dispute a couple of days before Christmas. As a family, we started sleeping in our car to avoid any more conflict.

After three days, my in-laws felt bad and said it was okay for our children to sleep at night in their home.

As parents, we were sleeping in the car thinking our babies were safe with their grandparents.

WE WERE SO WRONG!

Unfortunately, on February 1st, when we picked up our children, we noticed they didn't want to go back to that house. My husband kept pressing them for information because this wasn't like them. They had also been acting out recently. We thought because they knew we were sleeping in the car they were sad. My 5-year-old blurted out that her grandfather was touching her and her sisters. My oldest confirmed and gave so many VIVID DESCRIPTIONS of what this monster was doing to them behind closed doors. I have NEVER talked to my children about sex.

As parents, we feel so incredibly guilty and disgusted by this pervert's actions. To make matters worse, my husband's entire family is siding with this monster.

My husband is heartbroken by this; it's his family. His parents. His 4 siblings. The ambulance was called to the scene because my husband was going to pass out on me. Then again at the police station when he heard more details of what was happening to our innocent angels. Hospitalized twice for mental breakdowns in DISBELIEF that his OWN father could do something like this.

Where's the empathy and compassion for three traumatized children that exposed something so sick being done to them?

You would think that my sister-in-law or mother-in-law, as females, wouldn't second guess my children.

Since this pervert was the breadwinner, they stayed silent. Still questioning my children if they were sure that he was doing this ! THE THIRD PHOTO SHOWS HIS ARREST!

We are basically working right now to survive day to day. We just want a home for our babies.

It's not easy to move when anywhere they're asking for 1st, last, and security deposit while living paycheck to paycheck.

We used up our savings trying to survive since December.

Now, on top of this pervert traumatizing my kids, I feel like I'm traumatizing them being homeless, sleeping in the car, or bouncing from hotels to friends' couches because the separation anxiety for my children right now is VERY real.

I know JESUS CHRIST will heal my family and help us move forward from this. The girls will be going to therapy. As parents, we will be too.

Hug your babies a little tighter tonight knowing this monster will NEVER do this again to another child.

Im so incredibly PROUD of my children. They are so strong for speaking up against something they understood was wrong and although scared because they were constantly being threatened to not say nothing by their grandfather they still chose to SPEAK UP and have a voice.

They have such an amazing future ahead of them. FOR MY CHILDREN I WILL GO TO WAR. Even if it's just me and my husband advocating for my girls. I will be at every court date and make sure my angels get JUSTICE
