  • Hi Folks. 'Tis the Season! The calendar says so. So does my problem. I have nothing. NOTHING. I never had to fundraise for myself until now. I helped both Vivian & Michael, but usually, I was able to make ends meet with my ceramic shop. But since losing my house and shop in Feb and with the paralyzation increasing in intensity, I have no source to generate funds. My income is reserved for bills, medical treatments, and equipment. Due to cutbacks, my funds have deteriorated and I find myself at Christmas with nothing. A very expensive wheelchair repair along with medical P.T. (insurance says I have plateaued, so I must fund my own P.T.). I have maxed out my credit card, gone through all my savings, and am simply 100% out of money. I cannot afford to bring Michael home for Christmas. I have no money to pay my regular bills this month. I am about to lose my phone service and have no way to pay that or my utilities. This is as low as it has gotten for me and I need help. If you can assist me with a dollar or ten, I can guarantee it won't be wasted. Dependent upon this working, of course, I intend to use the cash to just get my head above water long enough to figure out a way out. It is embarrassing and humiliating to beg for a few dollars, but frankly, that is where I am. I cannot bear the thought of my son stranded in Oklahoma, alone at Christmas because of my failure to manage funds, retain my house, and keep my additional income source and what I was using to remain relevant on some level. But it's gone; however, the need remains. Being diagnosed with inoperable brain cancer and becoming paralyzed has taken everything from my family. My shop, my home, my wife! It threatens life daily while taking your chance at living a normal life away as well. From not only you but your family, friends, and loved ones too. I just want Christmas time to be void of my illness and the repercussions it has brought. Thank you for any help you may wish to render, and I am sorry I have to ask.
