Hello, my name is Mahari and I am a college student in San Diego, CA raising funds on the behalf of Mazen Sami, a 17 year old boy living in Khan Younis, Gaza. Due to the ongoing genocide and lack of access to healthcare, ways to make money, food, and safe shelter, Mazen and his family need our help. They are trying to buy food, medicine, winter clothes for the cold, and pay off debts accumulated from before the war.

I first met Mazen almost a year ago, and have since been crowdfunding for his campaign. We have FaceTimed and spoken for months, and he is one of the most brave and kind people I’ve had the privilege to meet. He was finally able to return to his home in the town of Khuza’a very recently, but needs help to rebuild and support his basic needs.

While we are hopeful about the ceasefire, we also understand that it is more important now than ever to keep an eye on Palestine and support families as they return home and rebuild.
