On May 13th, my aunt and uncle lost their home in a devastating house fire. Thankfully, they were not home when it happened and their sweet pup made it out safely. Everything they owned — their memories, clothes, furniture, wheelchairs, and sense of stability — was destroyed in a matter of minutes.

They are now faced with the overwhelming task of starting over from scratch. Insurance can only cover so much, and the costs of temporary housing, basic necessities, and rebuilding are more than they can manage on their own.

Michelle, their family dog, vet bills (not covered by insurance) have cost the family between $2,500-$3,000. Thankfully, she is on her way to a full recovery!
