Aid for Liam: Healing After Emergency Arrival

Hello, my name is Taylor and I am trying to raise funds for my cousin Ashlyn and her fiancé Shawn Hardy. Their son Liam was born on May 8th by emergency C-section after 27 hours of traumatizing and unnecessary labor that I myself witnessed. Unfortunately, after he was born, his cord was wrapped around his neck and he was deprived of oxygen for quite a while. Right after he was born, my cousin and her fiancé were only able to see him for a minute before he was transferred to a different hospital with what they suspect is Neonatal Hypoxic-Ischemic Encephalopathy, which is a neurological condition of the brain where it could possibly be damaged from lack of oxygen. Tests are currently being run on him as we speak, but unfortunately for my cousin and her fiancé, they are needing to travel back and forth every day because the Ronald McDonald House is full.

The Saturday before Liam’s birth, Shawn also went through emergency surgery and will be out of work for a while due to that as well. They have both suffered quite a lot within these last few weeks and literally any penny can help them right now if you feel it in your heart to do so.
