On Monday, December 29th, my uncle, Suso, and his three children were involved in a serious car accident while traveling on I-75 Northbound in Naples, FL.

They were stopped in traffic when their vehicle was struck from behind by another car traveling at a high speed. The impact caused his car to hit the car in front of him. The jaws of life were used to free the passengers from the vehicle.

All three children sustained life-threatening injuries and were airlifted to the children's trauma center in St. Petersburg. The two boys, Juju (15) & Zane (13) lost their lives in the crash. The youngest child, Alexandrea, (11) is continuing to receive intensive medical care and undergo multiple surgeries at the trauma center.

My uncle, who was driving at the time, broke his pelvis and ribs and is currently navigating his own healing in Naples while being separated from his children in St. Pete during this incredibly difficult time.

While work is paused, the financial strain has grown quickly between monthly living expenses and ongoing medical treatment.

With our uncle's knowledge, and consent we've organized this GoFundMe to help ease some of the burden so he can focus on his recovery and supporting his family.

Funds raised will assist with:

• Medical expenses not covered through insurance

• Daily living expenses during recovery while life is on hold

• After life services

• Celebration of life services
