We are reaching out at this difficult time with heavy hearts to ask for your support for Greg (Gabriel Chaim ben Liora) and Davidah, as he recovers from a serious cardiac arrest. On September 7th, our beloved Greg suffered a Sudden Cardiac Arrest in his sleep while he and Davidah were visiting Pennsylvania for the weekend.

Since October, Greg has been back in NJ and was successfully weaned off of the vent at Kindred Hospital. In November, Hashem blessed us with him going to Kessler in Saddle Brook, NJ, for rehabilitation.

This sudden medical crisis has put their family into an emotional turmoil and placed financial burden on his wife, Davidah, and their 4 daughters: Avygail, 12, Emanuela, 10, Eliana, 5, and Arielle, 3. While Greg was in the ICU, Davidah discovered she was pregnant with their 5th child. Unfortunately towards the end of the Pesach holiday, Davidah was diagnosed with her own medical complication. She is currently 33 weeks pregnant and being induced for preeclampsia and the baby is experiencing growth restriction.

Greg is the primary provider for his family. Before his Sudden Cardiac Arrest, he worked as a Registered Nurse at New York Presbyterian Columbia and as a Neuro and Psych Nurse Practitioner in NJ. He is a member of Shomrei Torah and has been an active member of the Jewish Community in Wayne, NJ for the past 8 years. With him unable to work, and Davidah taking on the role of caregiver to both him and their children, they have lost their main source of income.

We are asking for your immediate tzedekah to help his family focus on what truly matters, Greg and Davidah's healing and recovery to become independent. We would also like to support them as they navigate having an additional concern, a baby in the NICU.
