My name is Dennishya, and I am the sister of Emizah Davis. On October 20th, my sister Emizah went into labor at 26 weeks, and of course, that changed a lot for her. Emizah was recently employed at Early Childhood Academy and has been working there full-time for 3+ years. Sadly, they have informed her that she cannot receive maternity leave pay due to the law not being passed until 2026, according to them.

I am just making this GoFundMe to raise some help for my sister. She is a hard worker and a very good, independent mother. I am asking for help raising money for her and her children while she goes through this process. We don’t know how long her baby will have to be in the NICU.
