Aid for Alex, Kelsey, and Kids After House Fire

Update(06/20/26):Alex & Kelsey were given notice that on Monday they can go back in the house with the adjusters and remediators to see if anything was salvagable. As their mom I hesitate in wanting them to do this because you have all provided them with so many reasons why anything lost cannot fully compare to what they have gained. Please keep the kids in your thoughts and prayers Monday as they do whatever walkthrough allowed for their mental well being during the reliving of this tragic incident.

Update(06/18/26):The kids and the rest of our family want to thank everyone who has provided. We want you to know that we see every $5 donation on up. We see and recognize your sacrifices, that last dollar that could have put gas in your car or food in your mouth. We see all who have shared and prayed with us. We recognize the cheerful giving. We are grateful for our givers who continue to provide and give so much. Each and everyone of you have made a difference, not only in provisions, but in hope the kids need right now. For all the blessings you have bestowed upon this little family we want to express our deepest gratitude. There can never be enough thank yous to tell you all what you mean to us. We will continue to keep this community updated as things progress.

Update(06/16/26): Our kids may have a house they can rent in about 30 days.

Geico never changed their address on their renters insurance when they changed it on the car policies. So now Geico is fighting to not pay the claim and this is their fault. If anyone knows anything about this please let me know if you can assist with information that can help the kids. They were well covered up to $100k and now Geico is fight. From one battle to the next.

Today(Sunday 06/14/26), our son-in-law, daughter, and their 4 young children escaped a house fire. The entire family was sleeping when a fire started in the garage. The fire alarm went off, and our son-in-law was able to get his wife and children out of the blaze.

The cause of the fire is still unknown. While fire and rescue worked to clear the house, the 3 family cats were found and did not make it.

Alex (28), Kelsey (28), Kora (10), Lexi (4), Brianna (3), and Malachi (11m) have been left with the clothes on their backs. Alex is in construction and only has his boots. Kelsey is a cosmetologist who was only able to save 2 shears, and the kids lost everything.

Our family rarely asks for aid because we are so blessed to have such an amazing village, but this is the time we are going to ask.

Our brave son-in-law, Alex, saved his family. We are so very proud of him. Even prayers right now are appreciated.

To those who will ask, yes, they are insured, and the Red Cross has been notified.
