Hi, my name is Naimir Ereu and I’m raising funds for my cousin and his family during one of the most difficult moments of their lives.

After attending a scheduled follow-up immigration interview in Dallas, Texas, my cousin was unexpectedly detained by immigration authorities, despite the fact that his asylum status had not expired. He attended this appointment in good faith alongside his wife, fully cooperating with the process—never imagining he would be taken away from his family that day.

He is a devoted husband and the father of four children, and the sole provider for his household. Since his detention, his wife has been left alone to care for their children while trying to keep up with rent, utilities, food, legal expenses, and everyday necessities—all without his income or support.

Like so many others, he came to the United States from Venezuela with one purpose: to give his children a safe future filled with opportunity. He is a hardworking, family-oriented man who has always put his wife and children first. His sudden detention has caused immense emotional and financial strain on a family that was already doing everything right.

Después de asistir a una entrevista de seguimiento de inmigración programada en Dallas, Texas, mi primo fue detenido inesperadamente por las autoridades de inmigración, a pesar de que su estatus de asilo no había expirado. Asistió a esta cita de buena fe junto a su esposa, cooperando plenamente con el proceso, nunca imaginando que lo alejarían de su familia ese día.

Es un esposo devoto y padre de cuatro hijos, y el único proveedor de su hogar. Desde su detención, su esposa se ha dejado sola para cuidar de sus hijos mientras trata de mantenerse al día con el alquiler, los servicios públicos, la comida, los gastos legales y las necesidades diarias, todo sin sus ingresos o apoyo.

Como muchos otros, vino a los Estados Unidos desde Venezuela con un propósito: dar a sus hijos un futuro seguro lleno de oportunidades. Es un hombre trabajador y orientado a la familia que siempre ha puesto a su esposa e hijos en primer lugar. Su detención repentina ha causado una inmensa tensión emocional y financiera en una familia que ya estaba haciendo todo bien.
