A Mother's Courage

On February 7, 2023, Esther's world was shattered. The father of her 7-year-old son (her ex-partner) suddenly appeared and shot her six times in their apartment hallway. Miraculously, Esther survived, but at a terrible cost. Bullets tore through her body, causing severe damage to her lungs, kidneys, and other organs. She spent months in the hospital, enduring multiple surgeries and fighting for her life through unimaginable pain.

Even in the darkest moments, Esther never gave up. Her thoughts always turned to her little boy; he is the reason she stayed strong. The man who attacked her is now behind bars, but Esther’s long journey to recovery is far from over.

A New Reality

Esther now lives with permanent disabilities. One of the bullets caused partial paralysis in her right hand, making even simple tasks a daily struggle. The damage to her airway is so severe that she must breathe with the help of a medical humidifier machine, which keeps her airways moist and functional.

She is permanently disabled, unable to work, and has no source of income. Despite the many obstacles, Esther remains hopeful and determined to give her son the love and stability he deserves.

Upcoming Surgery – May 5, 2025

Esther is scheduled for airway reconstruction surgery to help restore her breathing and repair internal damage. This is a major procedure and a critical step in her recovery. She needs your prayers, encouragement, and support more than ever.
